who I am

I’ve spent my life in the dance world—28 years as a dancer and 14 as a coach and choreographer—focused on helping athletes perform with power, purpose, and pride.

I grew up training at a competitive studio in Olympia, Washington, and later danced for the University of Washington, where I served as captain for three of my four years. I was lucky to perform across the country and internationally, earning Rookie of the Year and Senior of the Year along the way.

After college, I coached the UW Dance Team while earning my Master’s in Public Administration. During my time as coach, we made history—bringing UW to UDA College Nationals for the first time and placing in the top 10 in Division IA Hip Hop all three seasons.

Since launching J French Dance, I’ve had the chance to choreograph for programs across the country at the high school, college, and all-star levels, with work featured at UDA, NDA, DTU, and USA. In 2024, I relocated to Moscow, Idaho, where I now coach the University of Idaho Dance Team and continue creating high-impact routines that challenge dancers and bring teams to the next level.

At every stage of my journey, my passion has stayed the same: to help dancers unlock their confidence, push their limits, and perform routines that hit hard and feel unforgettable.
